Dr. Bryfonski graduated from Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) in the spring of 2020 and chose to begin her veterinary career at Merrimack Veterinary Hospital (MVH). Originally from upstate NY, Dr. Bryfonski received her Bachelor’s degree from Colgate University in cellular neuroscience where she completed research in canine genetics as well as Ebola; having co-authored a publication on the 2014 outbreak of the Ebola virus in Africa.

At OVC, Dr. Bryfonski focused on small animal medicine while gaining valuable experience working with wildlife and exotics in Africa and Asia, volunteering with wildlife veterinarians in various rehabilitation and sanctuary programs for cheetahs, elephants, and primates via the Global Vets Program. She continued her study of wildlife during a fourth-year preceptorship at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park in Washington D.C., where she worked with gorillas, cranes, sloth bears, and pandas.

Dr. Bryfonski is especially interested in furthering her clinical knowledge in neurology as well as dentistry and surgery. During her spare time, she is a competitive Latin dancer, and enjoys social dancing and performing for styles including salsa, bachata, and Brazilian Zouk. She also enjoys NH’s excellent hiking opportunities accompanied by her new puppy Marty McFly. Dr. Bryfonski is both grateful and excited as the newest addition to MVH’s talented and skilled team of doctors!
