Dr. Shannon Baker
Veterinarian

In 1994, Shannon Baker, DVM graduated from Grand Valley State University in Michigan. She later followed her calling to help heal and protect animals by attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. While in veterinary school she met her husband Daniel Baker, DVM. She finished her final clinical year of veterinary medicine at the University of Minnesota's School of Veterinary Medicine. Shannon has a special interest in the field of behavior & enjoys treating pocket pets. While in her clinical year, Shannon worked with Katherine A. Houpt, VMD, PhD, DACVB. Dr. Houpt, currently the head of the Behavior Department of Cornell Univeristy, was at the forefront of animal behavior in veterinary medicine having published many articles and books on the subject.

In her free time, Shannon enjoys reading, hiking, kayaking, rollerblading and biking. She also spends time with her three dogs, Colbie, Shelbie, adn Ottley, and her three cats, Bear, Tigger, and Princess.
